Many tourists in search of a party will take
flights to Ibiza and transfer immediately to Playa d'en Bossa Beach or San Antonio.
In contrast to the sun loungers and bars of these areas, visitors on an Ibiza flight might be surprised to learn that much of the island is UNESCO listed. Its landscapes and marine life, archaeological sites and Renaissance military architecture have earned it kudo.
Ibiza airport [IBZ] is the major gateway for most visitors. It is connected by daily domestic flights (30 to 55 minutes) from the Spanish mainland (Alicante [ALC], Barcelona [BCN], Madrid [MAD] and Valencia [VLC]) or the neighbouring island of Mallorca (Palma de Mallorca [PMI]) all yearround. From spring till autumn the island is also served by international charter flights (2 to 3 hours) from most major European cities (France, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Switzerland etc.)
